How to attach a Strap with Peak Design Anchor Links
Attaching a strap with Peak Design Anchor Links is a simple process but it can be a little tricky if your camera mounts are small. Follow this guide for some fool proof tips on how to attach them to your camera with ease!
Step 1: Locate Camera Attachment Points
Find the camera strap mounts on each side of your camera.
If the eyelets are too small to fit the Anchor cord easily you can consider using split rings to expand the size of the eyelet.
Step 2: Attach the Anchors to the Camera Mounts
Without Split Rings: Thread the cord of the Anchors through the eyelet, then pull the plastic circle back through the cord loop and tug to secure it.
With Split Rings: Thread the cord through the split ring, then attach the Anchor as usual.
Tip for Small Eyelets: Use floss or thread to create a loop to help guide the cord through small eyelets, or use split rings if needed.
Step 3: Attach the Strap to the Anchor
Locate the Peak Design Anchor Link at the end of your strap.
Insert the circular end of the Anchor into the Anchor Link and use your thumb to depress the clip as you slide the plastic circle in. You should hear a “click” when it’s locked in.
Repeat for the other side ensuring to check the strap for any twists or kinks.
Step 4: Check for Security
Gently tug on both sides of the strap to ensure the Anchors are securely attached to the Anchors Links.
Bonus Tip:
Extra Anchors: If you have multiple cameras, consider purchasing extra Anchors. This way, you can easily switch you strap between different cameras.
By following these steps, you should be able to attach your Peak Design Anchors quickly and securely.
